Unscrew the steel threaded ring from the heavy threaded loop. This gives access to the mounting bracket.
Line the mounting bracket up with the junction box mounting holes. Secure the mounting bracket to the junction box with the mounting hardware.
Make required electrical connections. Attach the white wire from the existing electrical wiring to the ribbed lead wire. Attach the black wire from the existing electrical wiring to the smoothlead wire.
To ground the fixture, attach the ground wire from the fixture to the ground wire lead nut. The existing electrical wiring may need to be grounded. This can be done by attaching the ground wire from the existing electrical wiring to the junction box ground wire nut.
Slide the canopy up to the ceiling and secure by screwing the steel threaded ring onto the heavy threaded loop.
If the canopy is not flush with the ceiling, the heavy threaded loop can be turned clockwise to move the canopy up against the ceiling.
