Hand-Carved Wood Collection
The exquisite hand-carved details and gorgeous patinas that characterize the blades in Casablanca's Carved Wood Collection are the result of a meticulous nine-step process executed by skilled artisans. The blades are crafted from multiple layers of the finest furniture-grade Featherwood, which is kiln-dried in order to achieve the ideal moisture level and prevent future warping. The raw wood is cut to size and then hand-selected for similar grain and color characteristics. From there, the blade pattern is cut from the wood and blade iron holes are drilled. Ornate design details are hand-carved into each blade by master craftsmen. Blades are then sanded in a multi-step process, in order to bring out the beauty and natural grain of the wood.

The final hand-finishing is a phase unto itself. The rich finishes and deep luster featured on every blade are the result of a thorough, multi-step, hand-applied process administered by expert furniture finishers. Stain, sanding, and sealers are applied in a proprietary sequence that captures the wood grain and natural luster of every blade. Based on the desired finish, other techniques like gilding, distressing, glazing, and highlighting are also employed, resulting in a truly distinctive product. Once the finishing process is complete, blades are hand-selected again for color and grain in order to create beautifully matched sets.

The BVB 10-62 Distressed Relic blades are optional for the Hampshire Ceiling Fan. Two fans that feature the BVB13-66 Brushed Walnut/Antique Gold are the Reverie Ceiling Fan and the Chelsea Ceiling Fan. The BVB13-36 Cordovan/Spanish Gold blades are featured on the Middlebury Ceiling Fan. The BVB28-47 Cognac Leather are featured on the Hanover Ceiling Fan.

Beadboard Blade Collection
Casablanca's collection of beadboard blades adds cottage-style comfort and charm to any compatible fan model. Their signature design draws its inspiration from vintage paneling, and is available in both standard and badge-style configurations. Beadboard blades are crafted from multiple layers of the finest furniture-grade Featherwood, using an intensive multi-step process to yield lasting beauty, durability, and smooth, silent performance. The wood is kiln-dried to achieve optimal moisture levels, and hand-selected to ensure uniformity of grain and color. The distinctive grooves are then routed by machine for maximum precision. After the initial shape and design are cut, blades are sanded and finished in a meticulous process that involves multiple stages. They are then color-matched and balanced, in order to conform to exacting standards for consistency and wobble-free operation. Beadboard blades are only offered in 21" length.

Casablanca has produced an outstanding collection of tropical-themed blades made from materials such as split bamboo, carved wood, and woven natural materials. The South Seas fan blades bring the option of tropical styling to any room. Blades are constructed with the highest quality materials and not only look great, but also provide optimum air movement at any fan speed. Badge or standard-style fan blade options are available for each style within the South Seas Collection. . Badge-style blade mounting is compatible for the Capistrano, Estrada, Metropolitan, Key Largo and Wilderness fans. Standard-style blade mounting is compatible for the Concentra, Panama, Panama XTR, Ventura, and Four Seasons fans. The blade-mounting style may be selected as an option below. Other features include:

Blade Finishes
The blades of a Casablanca fan are fashioned for exceptional performance and timeless beauty. The highest quality materials are selected for long-lasting durability and perfectly balanced operation. Casablanca's 8-ply construction uses 6 layers of wood in a cross-laminated pattern for extra strength and resistance to warping. The two outside layers are real furniture-grade wood veneers.

An Explanation Regarding Badge-Mount and Standard-Mount Fan Blades
The difference between Badge-Style (or Badge-Mount) blades and Standard (or Standard-Mount) blades concerns the manner by which the blades are attached to the fan motor. Badge-style blades use a more circular attachment and tend to be found on the higher-end Casablanca fans. Standard-style blades mount with a more traditional semi-circle configuration.
