On October 8th, 2011, Carolina Rustica opened its 2nd Gallery and showroom here at our Concord, NC Gibson Mill location. We essentially doubled our showroom space by adding another 5,000 square feet that features some of the finest furniture and lighting available today. We continue to add new mid to high-end furniture manufacturers and this space will allow us to display products from these manufacturers for you to come and see. We are proud to have recently added Bernhardt, Schnadig, Stanley and Habersham and there will be even more coming. Come visit us to see and touch these wonderful new products and meet with our designers to find that perfect piece or to create the exact item that will complete the look that you're looking for.

Award winning artwork to complement our stunning new furniture.
Along with the recent Grand Opening of Gallery II, we enlisted the help of a local artist to make the showroom pop with his cultured artwork. Watercolourist, Mike Ryon of Charlotte, is an impressionist and a noted colourist, known for his large 30" x 40" and 22" x 30" watercolours which are rare for the medium. His works are drawing national attention, the list of accomplishments are quite notable starting with being accepted into An Exhibition of the American Watercolor Society (his work is on display at the exhibition shown on Fifth Avenue in NYC at the Salmagundi Club). He was selected as a finalist in the Cambridge Art Association National Competition. Regionally he has been awarded First Place winner and Purchase Award winner in the North Carolina Watercolor Society and has been selected as a licensed artist for the famed Biltmore Estate. A Little History
For five years, we ran a successful retail furniture and gift gallery in Charlotte, NC. Opened in 1996, Himal Home Gallery featured one-of-a-kind rustic and provincial home furnishings from near and far. The award-winning gallery presented a rich blend of hand-crafted furniture, decorative and practical home items. Hand forged iron furniture, such as canopy beds and sleigh beds, featured prominently in our store, and soon became a best-selling line. In 1997, Himal Home Gallery went online and presented an array of best-selling home accent items to internet buyers. It quickly became apparent that the demand for quality wrought-iron furniture was much greater than we anticipated. Carolina Rustica was our response to this demand. In 2000, we relocated our Charlotte store and relaunched as Carolina Rustica, and we have been growing nonstop ever since. Starting with iron beds and furniture, we grew the business with fine suppliers like Charleston Forge, Lexington Home Brands, Century Furniture, and more. At the same time, we added complimentary lighting lines such as Hubbardton Forge, Hinkley Lighting, Currey and Company, Fine Art Lamps, Minka Lavery, and more. We now proudly represent over 75 lines of furniture, upholstery, lighting, and ceiling fans. Our most recent additions include AICO Furniture, Bernhardt Furniture, Hooker Furniture, Schnadig Furniture, Century Furniture, Habersham Furniture, Stanley Furniture and Hickory White. We have received significant press coverage over the last few years with regards to our small-business growth, our use of technology, and our blending of a brick-and-mortar store with our web business.
