What is a Wall Lounger or Wall Recliner?
BarcaLounger Wall Recliners Loungers are recliners that have a minimum amount of kick-back when placed in the recline position. They are ideal for placing close to the wall or in smaller rooms. The amount of wall proximity can vary from 2 1/2" to 5". A Wall Lounger or Recliner can also have a swivel option available, such as the Aspire II Wall Swivel Recliner. What is a Swivel Recliner?
A swivel recliner has a 360-degree swivel with the recliner mounted on a swivel pedestal base. Sometimes the swivel is incorporated as part of the design, such as the Galaxy Swivel Lounger has a clear modernistic appeal, and with other swivel recliners, the design will be a modification from the existing chair. For example, the South Beach Recliner, shown at left, is available with a swivel option. When this feature is selected, a swivel pedestal will be substituted for the recliner legs. It is important to remember this will give the recliner a different look, but one that may be perfect for you. The Icon, Lazer, and Vector are the only Pop-Up Recliners with the swivel option as a standard feature.

What is a Power Recliner?
There are two types of "Power Recliners" made by BarcaLounger. The first type simply uses a motor mechanism to recline in the prone position. Using a control lever tucked away between the arm and the seat cushion, you can easily move the recliner into all three positions with absolutely no effort at all. Some examples would be the Dunhill Recliner, which has a stately English Country Club feel. You would never even know its a recliner in the first place! The second type of power recliner is the motorized lift chair, which is available only in the Aries Recliner. As seen in the picture to the left, the Aries uses a hand-held control to bring the recliner up to almost a standing position. This is the perfect recliner for those who have mobility challenges.

What is a Pop-Up Recliner?
A Pop-Up Recliner features a headrest that flips around or pops up to support your head when the recliner is in its prone position. The Lazer, Icon, and Vector have headrests that move up about 4", and the Low Profile Pop-Ups feature a headrest that flips around when the recliner is moved into a prone position. The Metro Recliner, shown at right, is one such low-profile pop-up recliner that has a nice transitional design and will be a fully supportive 3-position recliner complete with headrest when engaged. What the Difference Between a Glider Recliner and a Rocker Recliner?
Gliders or Rocker both have a back-and-forth motion. These types of recliners can be swivel or non-swivel as well. A Glider Recliner has a horizontal movement parellel to the floor. A Rocker Recliner acts like a true rocking chair, with slightly more restricted movement due to the size of the recliner. Some of BarcaLounger's recliners have the option of adding either a swivel glider or a rocker, such as the Champion Recliner. How is Home Theater Seating Different than Other Types of Recliners?
Home Theatre Seating allows you to configure anywhere from one to four sets of recliners contiguously, with options for drink holders and storage space between the chairs. You configure each recliner seat with left arms, right arms, or no arms (if the seat is in the middle). Seating on the end may be configured with cup holders and storage, or may be left open for easy access.
