All good quality begins with a strong foundation. Therefore, in our motion furniture we use steel to tie our frames together, steel seat boxings to ensure the long life of our springing system and our mechanisms are made, not merely assembled, in the USA. Our motion's foam is the best available. We use 2.5 density, 20 lb compression high resiliency (HR) Foam in our seats and HR Foam in our backs that call for foam in place of fiber. Our fiber backs are in bags with partitions where applicable to maintain appearance. Our stationary and motion furniture is hand crafted in North Carolina by the finest American artisans.

We recycle manufacturing waste, including leather and fabric scraps. We also recycle our leftover foam and packaging materials. Our upholstery springs are crafted from recycled steel and the fiberfill in our arm and back pillows is derived from recycled materials.Comfort Design is dedicated to preserving precious resources. We partner with suppliers who are a part of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative, a program that combines the perpetual growing and harvesting of trees with the protection of wildlife, plants, soil and water quality.
