Quoizel Lighting Sources for Inspiration:
The European Collections include the Genova and the Tuscany lighting groups. Modern American homes often reflect a return to French, Italian or English origins. These traditional European styles are generally more formal and ornamented, and have a comfortable appeal to today's lifestyles, such as the Duchess Collection. The second style category is Americana, reminiscent of early colonial craftsmanship influenced all that followed. Hand-forged design with hammered effects, dressy brushed brass that recalls Back Bay townhouses, and even lodge-style flourishes taken from the Mission movement, such as the Hillcrest Collection.

In recent years, Contemporary has become the fastest-growing style grouping here at Carolina Rustica, and Quoizel has experienced the same kind of interest in their own lighting collections. Contemporary and Classic Modern is the most evolving style current today. Clean, bright design is critically important to the open style of today's living areas, and Quoizel has responded with beautifully designed chandeliers, sconces, and pendants. This style works great with many of the cleaner, transitional lines seen in recent furniture collections

Quoizel Designer Collections
In 2009, Quoizel introduced two unique and compelling collections from noted designers Laurie Smith and Richard Soard. Focusing on the idea of lighting as a designer element, these collections stand unique, even within Quoizel, for their distinguishing characteristics.

Richard Soard's "Raffine" Collections comprise about a dozen distinct styles. Raffine designs are inspired by the romance and refinement of the 19th and 20th century European vintage and transitional styles. Vintage designs include silver and gold leaf, multiple layers of color accents, deep glasses and highlights for a luscious rich patina. Transitional components are finished in metallic surfaces such as bronze, copper, nickel, and heirloom silver plate. Richard's Raffine designs are embellished with unique materials from around the world: semi-precious African Prase Jasper and Cloudy Grey Quartz stones. Like the Quoizel "Naturals" Collection, Mr. Soard also uses many organic elements, such as decorative Mother of Pearl, Pacific seashells, and hand-chiseled glass nuggets. On some pieces, brilliant Swarovski Crystal is also made use of.

Laurie Smith's "Illuminations" Collections are inspired by her love of "moden classic". She uses color and vibrancy to create new spaces and always does so with style and passion. Laurie Smith is best known, of course, for her appearances on TLC's Trading Spaces, one of the first shows of its genre. She brings her talents to Quoizel Lighting with the Illuminations Collection, which feature transitional lighting pieces with some vintage classic elements, such as us of gallery gold finish, sweeping arched lines and geometric forms.

Quoizel Lighting Groups
Quoizel distinguishes between four major broad categories of style: European, Americana, Contemporary, and Bohemian.Quoizel Genova 3-Light ChandelierThis collection has an incredibly versatile look, offering a casual elegance with European influences. The fashionable rubbed finish brings a warm and comfortable feeling to any room setting. The Genova group is inspired by the Italian port city of the same name, rich in diverse architecture and of an enduring, unassuming spirit. The gently twisted glass is reminiscent of the winding city streets. The Genova Collection will always be in style because of the combination of these elements as well. These fixtures come in an exciting combination of Burnished Copper and Ombra called the Stonehenge finish.

These styles and more are represented in the Americana category, with best-selling groups such as the Georgetown and New England Collections. The Georgetown Collection features a wrought iron design accenting an earthy leaf motif and unique, handmade, trumpeted glass shades. The amber color gradation on the shades brings out the casual warmth of this rustically romantic look. The New England Collection gives a nod to timeless style of the magnificent ocean liners of the 1920s and 1930s, but is updated for the homes of today. It is a handsome classic look that is always in fashion.

Quoizel Deluxe 2-Light Island LightIn recent years, Contemporary has become the fastest-growing style grouping here at Carolina Rustica, and Quoizel has experienced the same kind of interest in their own lighting collections. Contemporary/Modern is the most evolving style current today. Clean, bright design is critically important to the open style of today's living areas, and Quoizel has responded with beautifully designed chandeliers, sconces, and pendants. For example, the Delray Collection offers a soft contemporary look with gently swooping lines, placing it on the more subtle side of modern design. Choose from two fabulous finishes to make a smart and stylish statement in your home. The Deluxe Collection offers a swank, soft modern look paying homage to the days when Frank, Dean and Sammy were serving martinis in their sleek Palm Springs homes.

Quoizel Yuma CollectionThe Bohemian group literally "throws away the rule book" of old-school design. Bohemian lighting groups embrace the experimental, in form, attitude, material, and texture. You'll find Quoizel styles that give unexpected emotional edges to lighting solutions, from the whimsical to the romantic to the theatrical. The most popular groups within the Bohemian collection are the Yuma and the Gotham Collection. The Yuma Collection features a relaxed styling of this piece and has a bit of whimsy with its swirled vine and leaf motif. The wrought iron and the warm, mottled finish add to the overall feel of its hip, coffeehouse style. The Tiffany-style Gotham Collection is a great way to bring the drama of Tiffany glass into a contemporary or modern room setting. The hand-cut, iridescent art glass is alternated to form a slender triangle pattern in shades of rich ebony and warm yellow. Simply stunning. Comes in Vintage Bronze finish.

Lighting Configurations
Quoizel not only offers an incredible variety of styles across their vast collections, but they also offer many lighting options and configurations within a lighting group. For example, the La Parra Collection features a flourish of intricate, detailed carving and the acanthus leaf motif are simply elegant. The mottled cream glass shades make your home glow with a soft, warm light. You can capture this look with four different configurations of chandeliers, several styles of pendants and close-to-ceiling fixtures, and many configurations of wall sconces and vanity lights.
