Robert Abbey takes extraordinary care with their finishes to achieve the best look possible for each light fixture. For example, the Natural Brass and Deep Patina Bronze finishes are left unlacquered and allowed to age naturally. A traditional wax finish is applied after polishing which adds to the deep, rich look and allows the finish to patina more slowly and naturally. This can add to the drama of a piece that uses a lot of glass for its effect, enhancing the contrast.
